# Operators

Operators narrow a search before it runs. They combine freely with each other and with ordinary phrases, so `site:de depth:all "math.min.js"` is a single query.

### `depth:` - internal pages

By default a search covers home pages only. `depth:` reaches the internal pages that have been indexed - one level at a time, or all of them at once. How deep a site is indexed varies; a level with nothing indexed simply finds nothing.

`depth:all "math.min.js"` (https://publicwww.com/websites/depth:all+%22math.min.js%22/) - home pages and every indexed internal page
`depth:0 "math.min.js"` (https://publicwww.com/websites/depth:0+%22math.min.js%22/) - home pages, the default
`depth:1 "math.min.js"` (https://publicwww.com/websites/depth:1+%22math.min.js%22/) - first level of internal pages

### `site:` - top-level domain

Restrict results to one top-level domain.

`site:de bootstrap` (https://publicwww.com/websites/site:de+bootstrap/)
`site:it bootstrap` (https://publicwww.com/websites/site:it+bootstrap/)
`site:edu bootstrap` (https://publicwww.com/websites/site:edu+bootstrap/)
`site:legal bootstrap` (https://publicwww.com/websites/site:legal+bootstrap/)

### `ip:` - address or subnet

Find sites served from one address, or from a class C subnet by putting a `*` in the last position.

`ip:160.153.136.3 "ga('create',"` (https://publicwww.com/websites/ip:160.153.136.3+%22ga('create',%22/)
`ip:160.153.136.* bootstrap` (https://publicwww.com/websites/ip:160.153.136.*+bootstrap/)
