Give PublicWWW a website and it lists the websites most like it - built the same way, about the same thing, or both. Or describe a topic in a few words, in any language, and get the websites that are about it.
Three operators do it. Each takes a domain, several domains separated by commas, or - for content - words in quotes. The most similar websites come first.
html~ - built the same way
Compares the markup of the home page - tags, scripts and styles. Finds websites on the same theme, template, site builder or platform, whatever they are about.
text~ - about the same thing
Compares what the home page says, in any language: the same business, field or topic, wherever the website is and whatever it is built with. Words in quotes describe the topic directly.
text~jquery.com
text~"wedding photographer"
text~"Zahnarzt in Berlin"
like~ - both
Websites close to the example in markup and in content come first.
like~"words" is the same as text~"words".
