MCP Server
The same search, for AI assistants and agents. PublicWWW runs a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server: connect it to an assistant once, and the assistant can search page source for you and check what is left of your quota.

What the assistant can do
Two tools, both read-only: search runs a query in the
usual syntax and returns the sites, with
fragments of their source if asked; account tells your plan and
how many searches are left today. Ask in plain words - the assistant writes
the query:
- "Which sites load angular.min.js? Show the first 20."
- "Find Shopify shops that also load Google Tag Manager, and show me the code around the match."
- "How many PublicWWW searches do I have left today?"

Connecting your client
Add a remote MCP server with the URL above, then sign in. Assistants that can do it send you to PublicWWW to press Allow; the rest take a token from your profile in a header - see Signing in.
Plugins, ready-made configuration files and an agent skill: github.com/publicwww-com/publicwww-mcp.
Who can use it
Every account, a free one included. A free account gets 100 searches a day and up to 1 000 rows per query; a paid plan uses its own daily searches, shared with the API and the website. The numbers are in Limits and errors and on the pricing page.
