Claude

Claude adds PublicWWW as a custom connector and signs in with OAuth: no token to copy. Claude Code takes the same server from the command line.

Claude on the web and in the desktop app

A connector added on claude.ai is there in the desktop app too. A free Claude plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds it once - Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web - and then everyone presses Connect for their own PublicWWW account.

Claude now shows under Connected apps on your profile page.

Claude Code

As a plugin - the server, signing in with OAuth, and a skill that teaches Claude the query syntax:

/plugin marketplace add publicwww-com/publicwww-mcp
/plugin install publicwww@publicwww

Or just the server:

claude mcp add --transport http publicwww https://api.publicwww.com/mcp

Then, inside Claude Code, run /mcp, pick publicwww and choose Authenticate. The browser opens the same Allow screen; after it, claude mcp list shows the server as connected.

With a token from your profile page instead of OAuth:

claude mcp add --transport http publicwww https://api.publicwww.com/mcp \
     --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"

The server is added to the current project; --scope user makes it available in every project. To share it with a team through .mcp.json in the repository, keep the token in each person's environment rather than in the file:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "publicwww": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.publicwww.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${PUBLICWWW_TOKEN}" }
    }
  }
}
